  • Review week 42/2025

    Grateful

    • I reached out to colleagues from my study course and got some helpful tips for researching literature.

    Failure

    • Only two weeks left to hand in the research proposal for my master’s thesis and I’m behind schedule writing it.

    Take Away/Doing Next

    • Schedule time for exclusively working on my research proposal, either reading articles or writing.
  • Review week 41/2025

    Grateful

    • Because of technical difficulties at the office this week I unexpectedly got days off and used that time to work on my current study course assignments.

    Failure

    • Every time I think about work or being at the office I feel my muscles tensing up.

    Take Away/Doing Next

    • To help me better cope with the current situation I’m going to visualise the moment where I no longer need to go to the office.
    • Seeking out opportunities to find potential future collaborators.
  • Review week 40/2025

    Grateful

    • I’m grateful to have people in my life who accept me for who I am and I love that we can mutually enjoy our time together.

    Failure

    • I got late to bed on several occasions this week resulting in having to catch up on sleep on Sunday.

    Take Away/Doing Next

    • I want to surround myself with people who are good for me, from whose company I can refill energy and draw inspiration.
  • Review week 39/2025

    Grateful

    • Many thanks to a rhyming snail providing content for this week. I don’t know how I would have managed without them.

    Failure

    • This week was packed with lectures giving me nearly no time for anything else. I barely managed to finish my homework and assignment on time.

    Take Away/Doing Next

    • Define and block time in my calendar reserved for study course work and blog posts respectively. Thus meeting deadlines and maintaining a regular update schedule, which under the given circumstances will be adjusted.
  • Review week 38/2025

    Grateful

    • I’m very grateful to all of my readers and celebrate the 100th like this week! 🎉

    Failure

    • While the workload from my study course is increasing, I’m starting to struggle keeping up the daily blog posts.

    Take Away/Doing Next

    • Exploring potential options and making necessary adjustments in my publishing routine.
  • Review week 37/2025

    Grateful

    • receiving the understanding of others that certain situations are more demanding of me

    Failure

    • Construction work started in the neighbouring house and it is loud. My colleague suggested to drown out the noise with music from a radio. When I stated that I couldn’t work in such an environment, I wasn’t taken seriously.

    Take Away/Doing Next

    • still going to state my needs and choose my environment and/or contacts accordingly
  • Review week 36/2025

    Grateful

    • my colleague from my study course understood the reason why a meeting during the summer pause was simply not possible for me

    Failure

    • wasn’t as prepared for the start of my third semester as I would liked to be

    Take Away/Doing Next

    • finding a routine that helps me work on my study assignments while keeping the daily blog updates

    Plus

    • finished summer school and learned about topics that really interested me and I can benefit from
    • managed to publish a post everyday regardless of complete exhaustion thanks to timely preparation on my part

    Minus

    • couldn’t do and prepare everything I wanted to do/prepare this week due to complete exhaustion caused by the strain from the constructing site near my office
    • felt miserable because I needed a good portion of a day just to get some of my strength back from this very exhausting week

    Next

    • make schedules to reserve time for specific activities like my study course, creative pursuits, blog posts, etc.
    • evaluating the last two months and making necessary adjustments
  • Review week 34/2025
